Discover the magic of Iceland’s South Coast with this 2-day tour, featuring incredible waterfalls,

a visit to the spectacular Glacier Lagoon and puffin-spotting!

Day 1

This unforgettable experience begins with a convenient collection from your accommodation in Reykjavík and a scenic drive to the South Coast.

First, you’ll see Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi, two thrilling waterfalls that tumble more than 60 meters down from Eyjafjallajökull.

Next comes the stunning sight of Skógafoss, an even more impressive waterfall that sets off rainbows when the sun is shining. You can even climb some steps to see the cascade from the top!

Glaciers cover 10% of Iceland, and our next stop is Sólheimajökull. We’ll drive very close to the edge so that you can see this fantastic river of ice for yourself!

Did you know that the largest puffin colonies in the world are in Iceland? We’ll take you to see these gorgeous birds where they nest at Dyrhólaey. Though puffins nest in Iceland from late May to August only, the sunning views at Dyrholaey are available for the whole season.

The last stop on the first day is Reynisfjara, the famous Black Sand Beach. You’ll see the jagged sea stacks of the Reynisdrangar, as well as the fascinating hexagonal basalt cliffs.

You’ll enjoy a good night’s rest in a private room with en suite facilities.

Day 2

The second day takes you to Vatnajökull National Park, home to the largest glacier in Europe and the world-famous Glacier Lagoon at Jökulsárlón.

You’ll see countless icebergs breaking away from the glacier, floating in a meltwater lake. You can even take an exciting boat trip to get closer to these enormous chunks of ice!

Nearby you’ll discover The Diamond Beach, where glittering ice fragments lie scattered on a black sand beach like jewels on velvet.

After a quick photo stop at Hofskirkja, a turf-roofed chapel, you’ll explore the astonishing Fjaðrárgljúfur river canyon, a twisting moss-covered volcanic valley.

We’ll then return to the city with a stop at Vík, a pretty coastal village with a fairytale church and views over to the Reynisdrangar.
