Hot Spring Snorkeling & Blue Lagoon - with pick up

Snorkel in bubbles, then relax in the famous Blue Lagoon.

We start by picking you up at your accommodation in the Reykjavik area, we then start our drive to the Reykjanes Geopark where we will spend the day becoming familiar with all kinds of geothermal energy.

Lake Kleifarvatn is hidden within a stunning volcanic landscape just 30 minutes outside of Reykjavík. Standing at the lake shore and changing into your dry suit, you will probably catch a whiff of the sulfur emitted from nearby hot springs and the total silence will let you forget that you are anywhere near civilization.

Snorkeling in bubbling hot springs is usually impossible as the water is far too hot, but the hot springs at the bottom of Lake Kleifarvatn provide us with the opportunity to do just that! Some people have described it as swimming in a glass of champagne. We enjoy hot cocoa and cookies on the beach after the snorkeling tour.

On the bus we go but only for a moment because a few minutes drive away we will stop at the geothermal area of Seltún. Here you can take a walk and enjoy the colors of hot springs above water.

We continue to the Blue Lagoon. The scenic drive will take us past the new volcano in Geldingadalir. Unfortunately, the new volcano can not be seen from the road but we will see some brand new lava from a distance. The landscape of Reykjanes Geopark is extremely rugged and you can just imagine how volcanic activity has shaped it for millions of years.

The Blue Lagoon is our next stop. The lagoon is excess from a nearby geothermal power plant and shows us another type of geothermal energy on this tour. We say goodbye to you in the parking lot.

After enjoying a relaxing bath in the Blue Lagoon, you will jump on a bus from our partners at Reykjavik Excursions.
